Job Description

The Finance & Fundraising Executive role is a senior strategic position responsible for shaping financial strategy, fundraising readiness, and investor engagement at Circo. This role operates at the intersection of finance, growth strategy, and storytelling, working closely with the CEO to prepare the company for scale, manage runway, and build investor confidence. The position may start on a fractional basis and evolve into a full-time leadership role as the organization grows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead fundraising preparation for pre-seed and seed investment rounds
  • Build, maintain, and present financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses
  • Prepare investor-facing materials including pitch decks, financial narratives, and data rooms
  • Support investor meetings, due diligence processes, and follow-ups
  • Manage ongoing investor communications, updates, and reporting
  • Maintain strong relationships with angels, venture capital firms, and strategic partners
  • Own budgeting, forecasting, and runway management
  • Advise leadership on capital allocation, unit economics, and growth trade-offs
  • Establish financial processes, internal controls, and reporting standards
  • Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and financial advisors

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in finance, strategy, venture, investment, or startup finance
  • Proven experience supporting or leading fundraising activities (angel, VC, or grant funding)
  • Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical skills
  • Experience working in early-stage or high-growth environments
  • Ability to communicate financial insights clearly and confidently to founders and investors
