Job Description

A technology-driven organization in the satellite and geospatial solutions space is seeking a highly skilled Front-End & UI/UX Developer to design and build intuitive, high-performance digital products. This dual-role position combines hands-on front-end engineering with user-centered UI/UX design to deliver seamless experiences across web, mobile, and desktop platforms, transforming complex geospatial data into clear, actionable visual insights.

Key Responsibilities

Front-End Development

  • Design and develop responsive interfaces for web, mobile, and desktop applications using modern front-end frameworks such as React.
  • Integrate front-end applications with APIs to deliver real-time satellite imagery, analytics, and insights.
  • Optimize applications for cross-platform and cross-browser compatibility, performance, and scalability.
  • Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure application reliability and functionality.

UI/UX Design

  • Lead UI/UX workflows from wireframes and prototypes to high-fidelity interface designs.
  • Create user-centered designs using tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or InVision.
  • Translate complex geospatial and analytical data into intuitive, user-friendly experiences.
  • Ensure accessibility, usability, and design consistency across all digital platforms.

Collaboration & Innovation

  • Collaborate with GIS analysts to design interactive maps, dashboards, and geospatial visualizations.
  • Work alongside cybersecurity professionals to reduce front-end vulnerabilities and improve application security.
  • Maintain documentation for design systems, UI components, and front-end integration workflows.
  • Stay updated on emerging front-end technologies, UI/UX best practices, and digital design trends.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in front-end development with demonstrable UI/UX design expertise.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Strong ability to design and deliver high-quality UI/UX using tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or InVision.
  • Solid understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and user-centered design principles.
  • Excellent debugging, testing, and technical documentation skills.
  • Ability to balance design creativity with practical technical implementation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with geospatial visualization libraries such as Leaflet, Mapbox, or CesiumJS.
  • Familiarity with mobile development frameworks such as React Native.
  • Knowledge of WebGL or 3D data visualization.
  • Understanding of front-end security and data protection best practices.
  • Experience working with real-time data feeds, IoT, or telemetry-based interfaces.
  • Contributions to open-source front-end or UI/UX projects.
