Job Description

Turnitin, a global education technology company, is hiring a Product Manager to support platform services across multiple products and teams. This role focuses on defining requirements for foundational services, shaping product roadmaps, and working closely with engineering partners to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions that support integrity and learning outcomes in education worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Engineering and other Product leads to define product requirements and lead implementation and rollout
  • Define and maintain a shared product vision and roadmap across platform services
  • Conduct business analysis activities including backlog management, epics, and user stories
  • Facilitate team planning, refinement, and retrospective sessions
  • Remove delivery roadblocks and respond to change by clearly articulating options, implications, and outcomes
  • Support teams in resolving implementation and adoption blockers
  • Ensure alignment across workstreams involving multiple stakeholder groups

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Product Owner, Product Manager, or in a similar role
  • Strong ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs, and evaluate innovative ideas with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven experience working in Agile environments with tools such as JIRA or equivalent for backlog and delivery management
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data to support decisions
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • CSPO or equivalent product management certification
  • Experience with Micro Frontend and Shared Services delivery models
  • Experience with low-fidelity prototyping for early-stage ideation
  • Demonstrable experience leading complex digital products in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments
  • Experience managing technical roadmaps for service-level deliverables
  • Knowledge of the education technology ecosystem, including LMS platforms such as Blackboard, Canvas, Moodle, Schoology, and Desire to Learn
