Job Description

Glovo Nigeria is hiring a strategic and data-driven Head of Growth & Marketing to lead growth initiatives and marketing execution in Nigeria. This is a 6-month interim role with the potential to transition into a full-time position based on performance. The role reports to the General Manager and oversees a team of three, with a strong focus on customer acquisition, engagement, and profitable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the local growth and marketing strategy, adapting global frameworks to fit the Nigerian market.
  • Oversee online and offline marketing campaigns, optimizing content and channel performance to achieve growth targets.
  • Define and manage the optimal digital and non-digital media mix to grow the user base within the agreed Cost of Acquisition (CAC).
  • Identify and execute strategic local partnerships to strengthen brand awareness and market presence.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to understand user behavior, identify growth opportunities, and drive engagement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional local and HQ teams to execute product launches, new feature rollouts, and other growth projects.
  • Manage the country’s marketing budget and monitor key growth metrics, ensuring visibility for senior stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present detailed performance reports on marketing campaigns and growth initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with top partners, agencies, and media outlets.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Growth and Strategic Leadership, ideally across Tier 1 strategy consulting, high-growth tech environments, and large-scale operations.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams in fast-paced, high-growth settings.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Hands-on leadership approach with the ability to execute while guiding teams.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and managing complex business challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive collaboration across commercial, operations, finance, and marketing teams.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Full professional proficiency in English.
  • Proficiency in G Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs) or Microsoft Office tools.
