Job Description

Source Microfinance Bank Limited is seeking a skilled Product Analyst to drive the development and optimization of digital banking products and internal systems. This role combines product management and business analysis, focusing on delivering data-driven solutions that improve customer experience and operational efficiency within the microfinance space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute product strategy, vision, and roadmap for digital platforms such as mobile apps, USSD, and internet banking
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and opportunities for innovation
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor product performance using KPIs such as user adoption, transaction volume, and customer satisfaction
  • Gather and document business and system requirements from stakeholders across departments
  • Analyze existing workflows and recommend process improvements and automation within core banking operations
  • Develop user stories, business requirement documents (BRDs), and functional specifications for development teams
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring solutions meet defined requirements before deployment

Requirements

  • 4–7 years of experience as a Product Analyst, Business Analyst, or Product Manager within banking or financial services
  • Experience in microfinance or digital lending is an added advantage
  • Strong understanding of product strategy, roadmap planning, and data-driven decision-making
  • Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and reporting
  • Familiarity with Core Banking Systems such as T24, Finacle, or Flexcube
  • Knowledge of API integrations, payment gateways (e.g., NIBSS, Remita), and digital banking channels
  • Understanding of lending operations, deposit mobilization, and regulatory compliance (CBN guidelines)
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills
