Job Description

A Chief Operating Officer role is available within a construction-focused organization to oversee daily operations, ensure efficient project delivery, and drive operational excellence across multiple sites. The role requires translating strategic business goals into actionable operational plans while maintaining high standards in safety, cost control, quality, and timely project execution.

Employment Type: Full-time
Compensation: ₦1,000,000 – ₦1,500,000 Monthly + Performance-Based Incentives

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership across construction operations, including site management, procurement, logistics, and project delivery teams
  • Oversee planning and execution of multiple construction projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timeline
  • Monitor operational performance through KPIs, cost controls, productivity levels, and resource allocation
  • Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory construction standards
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve project outcomes
  • Coordinate with finance, engineering, HR, and supply chain teams for seamless project execution
  • Manage relationships with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies

Requirements & Qualifications (Application Instruction)
Applicants are expected to meet the following criteria before applying:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or related field
  • MBA or Master’s Degree is an added advantage
  • 10–15 years of progressive experience in the construction industry
  • 4–6 years in senior leadership roles such as Operations Manager, Project Director, or similar
  • Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects and multi-site operations
  • Strong financial management, budgeting, and cost control capability
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
