An opportunity is available for a Regional Assistant Manager to oversee route-to-market execution across the North Central region. The role focuses on improving distribution efficiency, strengthening trade partnerships, and driving sales performance through effective execution of commercial strategies within the FMCG sector.

Location: North Central, Nigeria

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement regional route-to-market strategies to improve distribution efficiency
  • Optimize customer segmentation and ensure effective trade coverage across assigned territories
  • Collaborate with sales teams to execute distribution and retail plans effectively
  • Analyze sales and distribution data to identify performance gaps and growth opportunities
  • Monitor distributor performance and ensure compliance with agreed service levels
  • Strengthen trade partnerships to improve product availability and market visibility
  • Conduct regular field visits to assess execution effectiveness and competitor activity
  • Support implementation of new route-to-market initiatives and operational tools

Requirements

  • HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 5–8 years of experience in route-to-market execution, distribution management, or sales operations (preferably FMCG or food manufacturing)
  • Strong understanding of route-to-market strategies and regional distribution systems
  • Experience in customer segmentation, trade coverage planning, and retail execution
  • Ability to analyze sales and distribution data for decision-making and reporting
  • Strong distributor and trade partner management skills with focus on service level compliance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other data analysis tools
