Job Description

A reputable organization in the technology sector is seeking an Internal Audit and Compliance Officer to strengthen its governance framework, ensure regulatory compliance, and enhance internal control systems across business operations. The role involves assessing risk, reviewing financial and operational processes, and ensuring adherence to internal policies and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor the organization’s compliance framework, policies, and procedures
• Conduct regular internal audits and reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal control standards
• Review and test controls across financial reporting, procurement, payroll, inventory, and other key business processes
• Identify control gaps, risks, and inefficiencies, and recommend practical improvements to strengthen operations
• Monitor changes in applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, ensuring internal policies are updated accordingly
• Investigate potential breaches of internal policies or regulations and recommend corrective actions
• Prepare internal audit and compliance reports and present findings to management
• Collaborate with departments such as HR, Legal, Finance, and IT to ensure integrated compliance practices
• Support external auditors by providing required documentation and assisting during audit reviews

Requirements

• Relevant academic qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Prior experience in internal audit, compliance, or risk management will be an advantage
• Strong understanding of internal control systems, regulatory compliance, and risk assessment
• Good analytical, reporting, and communication skills
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple compliance tasks

Salary
N400,000 – N5,000,000 per month
