Job Description

The Head of Technology will lead the organization’s technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals while driving innovation, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. This role involves overseeing IT systems, managing digital transformation initiatives, and ensuring the security and reliability of technology infrastructure within the pensions business.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement technology strategies that support business growth and long-term objectives
• Oversee IT operations, ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and efficient
• Lead digital transformation initiatives across platforms and services
• Manage IT infrastructure, databases, and enterprise applications
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Drive information security, risk management, and data protection initiatives
• Supervise and develop the Technology team to achieve high performance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related numerate discipline
• A Master’s degree (MBA, MSc IT, MIT) is an added advantage
• Relevant certifications such as ITIL, COBIT, PMP, Scrum, CISSP, CISA, CISM, TOGAF, AWS, DevOps, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience in a related role
• Strong knowledge of pensions and information technology industry practices (local and international)
