Job Description

A Senior Digital Solutions Engineer is needed to lead the design, development, and optimisation of enterprise-grade applications and automation solutions. The role combines solution architecture and hands-on engineering to improve digital workflows, system integration, scalability, and operational efficiency across business platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyse existing systems, identify gaps, and propose digital solutions and development roadmaps
  • Own the full application lifecycle including discovery, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and operational transition
  • Design and develop applications and automation solutions to digitise and optimise manual business processes
  • Implement automation across CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, release management, and test automation frameworks
  • Develop and maintain integrations and APIs, including event-driven architectures and cross-platform orchestration (SaaS and enterprise systems)
  • Define and enforce engineering best practices covering security, performance, reliability, and cost optimisation
  • Build observability systems including logging, monitoring, and tracing, and support incident response and root-cause analysis
  • Mentor engineering teams, conduct design and code reviews, and maintain technical documentation standards
  • Support governance activities including estimation, risk assessment, change control, and stakeholder communication
  • Monitor and improve KPIs such as deployment frequency, lead time, MTTR, and defect rates

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
  • 7+ years of experience in application development and automation solutions
  • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, Dataverse, and Azure
  • Strong experience in data integration using connectors, including custom connectors in Power Platform
  • Solid knowledge of application lifecycle management, UI/UX principles, and design frameworks
  • Proficiency in at least two programming languages such as Python, C#, JavaScript, HTML, or CSS
  • Strong experience in REST API design, integration patterns, messaging/queues, and SQL-based data systems
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
  • Familiarity with enterprise automation tools including RPA solutions
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage effectively with stakeholders
  • Advantageous: experience with Power BI, Power Query (M language), Power Pivot, DAX, and data modelling
  • Advantageous: experience with SQL Server, Azure SQL, DB2, Access, or data warehouse development
  • Advantageous: knowledge of SAP ERP, especially Material Management and Product BOM processes
