Job Description

Ceviant Payment Nigeria Limited is hiring a Compliance Manager to oversee regulatory compliance and ensure adherence to all applicable laws governing Payment Solution Service Providers (PSSPs) in Nigeria. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the company’s license, strengthening internal controls, and ensuring alignment with Central Bank of Nigeria regulations and other statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures in line with PSSP licensing requirements
  • Monitor regulatory updates from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and other relevant authorities
  • Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and annual regulatory reports and filings
  • Serve as the primary liaison during regulatory examinations and audits
  • Conduct compliance risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Review products, services, and processes to ensure regulatory alignment
  • Oversee AML/CFT monitoring activities, including suspicious transaction reporting
  • Ensure proper onboarding compliance for merchants and partners
  • Monitor fraud indicators, chargeback risks, and transaction anomalies
  • Maintain accurate compliance records for audits and inspections
  • Provide compliance training and guidance to staff
  • Coordinate with regulators, auditors, and internal stakeholders during audits and inquiries

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Minimum of 9 years of compliance experience, preferably in fintech, payments, or banking
  • Professional certifications such as ACAMS, ICA, or equivalent are an added advantage
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian financial regulations, including PSSP licensing and CBN guidelines
  • Solid understanding of AML/CFT frameworks, KYC processes, and transaction monitoring
  • Experience in regulatory reporting, compliance audits, and risk assessments
  • Familiarity with the Nigerian Data Protection Act (NDPA) and data privacy standards
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail
