Job Description

 A reputable company operating within the logistics and free trade zone sector is seeking an experienced and highly organized Account Manager to oversee financial operations, regulatory compliance, tax processes, and accounting activities. The ideal candidate must possess strong leadership abilities, deep accounting knowledge, and the capacity to independently manage complex financial responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Handle the complete set of company accounts including monthly and annual financial statements independently.
  • Manage all tax-related processes including VAT, PAYE, WHT filings, and ensure full compliance with statutory regulations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with customs authorities, FTZ authorities, banks, auditors, and relevant government agencies.
  • Lead and supervise the accounting team while monitoring financial risks and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and manage FTZ quarterly and annual official returns, inspections, and compliance documentation.
  • Handle complex financial matters, audit processes, reconciliations, and government financial inquiries independently.
  • Monitor company cash flow, oversee financial transactions, and ensure smooth day-to-day accounting operations.

Job Requirements

  • BSc or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Must possess a complete ICAN (ACA) or ACCA professional qualification certificate.
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant accounting experience.
  • Previous hands-on experience within the clearing, logistics, or free trade zone industry is highly required.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, tax compliance, auditing, and regulatory procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounting responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Sage, QuickBooks, and other standard accounting software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to perform under pressure.
Salary

N350,000 – N500,000 monthly.
