Pagatech Limited is seeking an experienced Financial Business Analyst to provide data-driven insights that support business growth, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, financial modeling expertise, and the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business unit performance and identify key drivers impacting operational and financial results.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and business teams to evaluate the effectiveness of business initiatives and performance outcomes.
  • Prepare cash-based and non-cash-based profit and loss reports to assess profitability across business units and countries.
  • Deliver actionable financial insights and analytical support to address complex business and financial challenges.
  • Generate accurate ad-hoc financial reports and analyses to support management decision-making.
  • Monitor unusual business events and assess their impact on financial performance.
  • Maintain and update monthly unit economics reports by product and business line.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities when required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Master’s Degree or relevant professional certification such as FMVA will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Financial Analyst, Business Analyst, FP&A, or related role.
  • Completion of the mandatory NYSC programme is required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial/accounting software.
  • Strong financial modeling and quantitative analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of Excel macros or automation tools will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Leadership skills with the capacity to guide and mentor team members when required.
