Job Description
PayOak is seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the planning, development, and delivery of products that address payment, trust, and commerce needs. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify customer challenges, define product priorities, and drive the successful execution of strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy and Planning
- Define product vision, goals, and priorities in collaboration with leadership teams.
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps aligned with business objectives and customer needs.
- Identify market opportunities, industry trends, and customer pain points.
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable product initiatives and feature plans.
Product Discovery and Research
- Conduct user research and gather insights from customers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Create detailed product requirements, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
- Validate product opportunities using customer feedback, market research, and data analysis.
- Ensure product decisions are driven by customer needs and business impact.
Product Development and Delivery
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog to maximize value delivery.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and design teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Coordinate sprint planning, product reviews, testing activities, and releases.
- Ensure products are delivered on time while meeting quality and usability standards.
Stakeholder Management and Collaboration
- Act as the primary link between product, engineering, design, operations, compliance, and business teams.
- Communicate product priorities, progress updates, and outcomes to relevant stakeholders.
- Support successful feature launches and product rollouts.
- Resolve product, operational, and user experience challenges when necessary.
Product Performance and Optimization
- Monitor key product metrics and performance indicators.
- Analyze user behavior, adoption trends, and customer feedback.
- Identify opportunities to improve product performance and customer experience.
- Recommend and implement data-driven product enhancements.
Job Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of product development processes and Agile methodologies.
- Experience creating product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working closely with engineering and design teams.
- Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Linear, Notion, Trello, Figma, or similar platforms.
- Ability to work independently while driving cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in fintech, payments, marketplaces, SaaS, or digital product environments.
- Experience working within early-stage or high-growth startups.
- Familiarity with product analytics platforms and experimentation frameworks.
