Job Description

The IT Security Systems Administrator will play a critical role in protecting enterprise infrastructure and maintaining cybersecurity standards across the organization. This position focuses primarily on security operations, including threat monitoring, incident response, firewall administration, endpoint protection, and compliance support. The role also involves systems administration responsibilities across Windows, Linux, virtualization, and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain enterprise firewall environments, including Cisco Meraki, SonicWall, and Fortinet platforms.
  • Monitor, investigate, and respond to security alerts using XDR, SIEM, and RMM solutions.
  • Lead incident response activities, security investigations, threat remediation, and root cause analysis.
  • Administer endpoint protection platforms such as Bitdefender and ensure endpoint security compliance.
  • Secure Microsoft 365 environments through identity protection, Defender tools, and conditional access policies.
  • Support compliance initiatives related to SOC 2, ISO 27002, HIPAA, and other security frameworks.
  • Perform Windows Server and Linux administration tasks across enterprise systems.
  • Manage user access controls, permissions, and security policies.
  • Support virtualization platforms including VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Troubleshoot networking, infrastructure, and system performance issues.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, system configurations, and security procedures.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to internal users and operational teams.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Senior-level experience in systems administration and cybersecurity operations.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, operating systems, virtualization technologies, and enterprise infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience managing security incidents and implementing remediation strategies.
  • Experience with enterprise security tools, firewalls, endpoint protection, and Microsoft 365 security solutions.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux administration.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of telecom industry systems and applications is beneficial.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced remote work environment.

Working Conditions
  • Fully remote position.
  • Candidates must reside in El Salvador or another LATAM country outside the United States.
