Job Description
Dangote Industries Limited is recruiting a Finance Manager, Fuel Management to oversee financial control, cost optimization, performance monitoring, and reporting across fuel-related operations. The role focuses on managing the financial aspects of CNG truck operations, diesel (AGO) consumption, fuel procurement activities, and fuel utilization processes. The successful candidate will support operational efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and contribute to the organization’s energy cost reduction initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee financial accounting and reporting for fuel operations, including CNG, AGO, and LPG where applicable.
• Ensure accurate recording of fuel consumption, inventory movements, conversion costs, and operational expenses.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly fuel consumption and performance reports.
• Reconcile SAP records with physical fuel consumption data and operational reports.
• Monitor CNG truck operations, utilization rates, and conversion performance.
• Validate vendor invoices and ensure accurate accounting treatment of conversion costs, distinguishing between capital and operational expenditures.
• Monitor and control diesel consumption across manufacturing plants and transportation fleets.
• Implement cost-control measures and identify opportunities for fuel efficiency improvements.
• Support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis activities related to fuel management.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, governance standards, and financial reporting requirements.
Requirements
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
• Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CFA is required.
• Minimum of 12 years of relevant professional experience in finance, accounting, or fuel management operations.
Skills and Competencies
• Strong analytical, financial modelling, and reporting skills.
• Sound knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and financial accounting principles.
• Experience using SAP and other financial management systems.
• Ability to interpret operational data and translate it into actionable financial insights.

• Good understanding of trends, regulations, and challenges within the cement manufacturing industry.
