Area Business Manager at Sun King (Formerly Greenlight Planet)

Job Description

Sun King is recruiting an experienced Area Business Manager to oversee sales, collections, and distribution activities for its EasyBuy solar products in Afikpo, Ebonyi State. The successful candidate will lead a team of Energy Officers, drive business growth, ensure excellent customer service, and support the expansion of clean, affordable energy solutions across the assigned territory.

Location: Afikpo, Ebonyi
Reporting To: Regional Business Manager, South East

Job Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, supervise, and retain a team of at least 40 Energy Officers within the assigned area.
• Drive sales growth and ensure timely customer collections while meeting monthly performance targets.
• Conduct regular field visits, joint sales activities, and coaching sessions to improve the performance of Energy Officers.
• Monitor customer satisfaction by resolving product, installation, payment, and warranty-related issues promptly.
• Organize weekly meetings with Energy Officers to review progress, address challenges, and recognize outstanding performance.
• Manage marketing materials, operational resources, and inventory efficiently to maximize return on investment.
• Monitor competitor activities within the assigned territory and implement strategies to strengthen Sun King’s market presence.
• Prepare and submit daily and weekly reports on sales, collections, customer issues, and team performance to the Regional Business Manager.
• Support the expansion of the retail network by working closely with Cluster Leaders and other field teams.

Job Requirements

Candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• A Degree in Business Administration or a related field, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 3 years of hands-on sales experience.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other computer applications.
• Proven customer service and relationship management skills.
• Excellent planning, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of the assigned territory and ability to manage field operations effectively.
