Job Description
Efficacy Development Plc is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to oversee cost management, contract administration, procurement, and project monitoring across construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered within budget, on schedule, and in line with quality and contractual standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Review project documentation, including drawings, specifications, bills, and scope of work.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and subcontractor valuations.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, material usage, and progress to ensure cost efficiency.
- Manage contracts, evaluate variations, and administer subcontractor and supplier agreements.
- Conduct site inspections and certify completed work for subcontractor payments.
- Assess project designs for cost-effectiveness and recommend value engineering opportunities.
- Prepare and negotiate tender documents, evaluate bids, and recommend suitable contractors.
- Monitor project risks, demand forecasts, and potential schedule overruns.
- Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to achieve cost savings.
- Maintain accurate project cost records and prepare progress reports.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience. Procurement experience is an added advantage.
- Must be a Registered Quantity Surveyor.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, contract management, and problem-solving skills.
- Sound knowledge of construction processes, cost control, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant quantity surveying software.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.
