Job Description

Pinnacle Oil & Gas Limited is recruiting a qualified Stock Accountant to oversee petroleum inventory management, stock reconciliation, and reporting activities. The successful candidate will ensure accurate stock accounting, monitor product movements, coordinate cargo receipt operations, and maintain inventory integrity while supporting efficient terminal operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate pre cargo meetings and cargo receipt plans with vessel management teams.
  • Line up pipelines and storage tanks for the receipt and loading of petroleum products.
  • Supervise the offloading of bulk petroleum products from vessels, including tank dipping operations carried out by cargo surveyors.
  • Monitor valve operations during product transfer to ensure safe and efficient handling.
  • Conduct daily tank dipping and maintain accurate records of product inventory and dead stock.
  • Coordinate periodic stock take exercises with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform ullaging of loaded trucks when required to verify loaded product quantities.
  • Account for petroleum products stored in tanks and carry out periodic stock reconciliations to investigate and resolve variances.
  • Reconcile daily physical stock balances with ERP system records.
  • Prepare and submit accurate daily stock reports.
  • Maintain an up to date product loading register.
  • Liaise with operations teams to seal storage tanks before cargo receipt activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in petroleum stock management.
  • ICAN or ACCA certification is an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and reporting skills.
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
