Job Description

Amaiden Energy Nigeria Limited is recruiting a qualified Head, Transport to lead land transportation and fleet management operations. The role is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective movement of personnel and company assets while maintaining compliance with HSE standards, Land Transportation Management System (LTMS), and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will also oversee fleet operations, driver management, transport contractors, fuel administration, budgeting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage land transportation and fleet operations to ensure safe and reliable movement of personnel and goods.
  • Ensure compliance with Company LTMS, HSE Driving Policy, and all applicable transportation regulations.
  • Supervise driver administration, coordinate HSE meetings, safety training, and driver performance management.
  • Oversee fleet maintenance, vehicle servicing, repairs, and lease contract administration.
  • Manage fuel storage, fuel card administration, and distribution for operational and leased vehicles.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with transportation service agreements.
  • Coordinate incident investigations, road safety initiatives, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate fleet records, transport KPIs, vehicle databases, and operational reports.
  • Support budget preparation and monitor transport-related expenditures for cost efficiency.
  • Promote continuous improvement, safe driving practices, and operational excellence across transport activities.

Requirements
  • HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Social Sciences, Management Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in logistics, transportation, engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of fleet management, transport operations, and HSE compliance.
  • Good analytical, organizational, and administrative skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and transport management systems.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
