Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop high-performance front-end applications using Next.js and ReactJS.
  • Lead software development projects and design scalable, secure full-stack solutions.
  • Modernize legacy third-party and in-house systems by upgrading packages and migrating codebases to TypeScript.
  • Design modular, secure services based on enterprise architecture and modern development patterns.
  • Integrate AI features into business applications and create test cases to support safe, accurate, and responsible AI implementation.
  • Maintain and migrate Azure infrastructure, including Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and App Services.
  • Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for automated development, testing, and deployment.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level developers on React, Node.js architecture, TypeScript, Azure, and software development best practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of professional software development experience.
  • Good English communication skills for working with international teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Next.js and NestJS.
  • Advanced proficiency in TypeScript across both frontend and backend development.
  • Demonstrated experience designing scalable full-stack applications using modern React frameworks and Node.js.
  • Strong practical experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and App Service.
  • Solid experience with CI/CD automation, preferably using Azure DevOps.
  • Strong understanding of secure coding, API security, cloud security, and software security best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of system design, microservices, distributed systems, and API design patterns.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, technical documentation, and communication skills.

Additional Skills

  • Experience with large-scale system modernization or cloud migration projects.
  • Knowledge of server-side rendering (SSR), static site generation (SSG), and incremental static regeneration (ISR) in Next.js.
  • Understanding of caching technologies and strategies, including Redis, CDNs, and edge networks.
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
  • Strong experience with NestJS for backend service development.

Work Environment

The position is full-time, with remote working available. SmartDev has teams operating across on-site and remote/hybrid locations in Vietnam, including Danang and Hanoi, while collaborating with international clients and teams.
