Job Description

A detail-oriented and experienced Accountant is needed to join a team in Abuja. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires proficiency in accounting software, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and budgets to support decision-making.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and other financial transactions.
  • Ensure tax compliance by preparing and filing necessary tax returns.
  • Use accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage to manage financial data efficiently.

Requirements

  • A First Degree or its equivalent in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 4 years of verifiable experience in core accounting functions.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • ICAN or ACCA certification is an added advantage.
