Job Description

Treasure Homes Design is hiring an experienced Accountant / Financial Controller to oversee financial operations and build a structured, scalable accounting system. This role goes beyond routine bookkeeping and focuses on financial reporting, job costing, cash flow management, and supporting strategic business decisions in a fast-growing environment.

Salary: N250,000 – N400,000 monthly

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle accounting including accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, and payroll support
  • Prepare accurate monthly financial reports (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
  • Track and analyze job-level profitability across projects
  • Monitor cash flow, collections, and outstanding invoices
  • Develop and maintain budgets and financial forecasts
  • Identify cost inefficiencies and improve overall profit margins
  • Integrate and manage financial data across QuickBooks Online and Housecall Pro
  • Support pricing decisions with data-driven financial insights
  • Coordinate with external CPA on tax filings and compliance
  • Build and maintain scalable financial processes and reporting systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
  • 2–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or service-based industries
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (required)
  • Experience with job costing and project-based accounting
  • Familiarity with Housecall Pro or similar field service management software (preferred)
  • Advanced Excel skills for reporting, analysis, and dashboards
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical thinking
  • Ability to interpret financial data and support business decision-making
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently without close supervision
