AscentTech Africa is seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining robust backend systems, ensuring high performance and scalability. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js, Python (Flask/Django), and Laravel.
  • Design and implement GraphQL and RESTful APIs for seamless data exchange.
  • Optimize server-side performance and ensure application scalability.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and product teams to build and deploy applications.
  • Implement cloud solutions using AWS or GCP for hosting, storage, and security.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Backend Developer with expertise in Node.js, Python (Flask/Django), or Laravel.
  • Strong understanding of API development, database management, and authentication mechanisms.
  • Experience with GraphQL, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
  • Proficiency in version control systems (Git, GitHub/GitLab).
  • Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend applications.
