Job Description

Regolith Technologies is hiring a skilled Backend Engineer for a contract role. This position offers a chance to work remotely on impactful, user-facing applications, collaborating with a fast-moving product and engineering team. Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems, APIs, and services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, engineers, and product managers
  • Optimize systems for performance, reliability, and security
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development and production environments

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in backend engineering
  • Proficiency in at least one backend language (e.g., C#, Python, Java, Node.js)
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and backend frameworks
  • Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines

Additional Preferences:

  • Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Exposure to test-driven development and automated testing tools
  • Experience with event-driven systems or message queues
