Job Description

A globally connected executive education and consulting organisation is seeking a commercially driven and strategic Business Development Executive to drive growth in Lagos. This role focuses on engaging senior leaders across key industries, promoting high-impact executive development programmes, and building long-term partnerships that deliver measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute engagement strategies to build relationships with CEOs, Executive Directors, and senior management teams
  • Promote executive development programmes by clearly communicating their strategic value and return on investment
  • Identify, qualify, and convert leads into long-term partnerships while consistently meeting revenue targets
  • Deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and negotiations to secure high-value deals
  • Monitor Lagos market trends, including regulatory changes, economic shifts, and leadership gaps
  • Participate in industry events, executive forums, and professional networks to expand business opportunities
  • Collaborate with programme and academic teams to align client needs with tailored solutions
  • Maintain accurate reporting on pipeline, client interactions, and market insights

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (MBA or postgraduate qualification is an advantage)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, senior sales, or client engagement within professional services, banking, consulting, or related industries
  • Proven track record of engaging senior executives and closing high-value deals
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders
  • Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Strategic thinking with a results-driven and commercially focused mindset
