Job Description

Moniepoint Incorporated is seeking a proactive Business Relationship Manager to drive merchant acquisition and develop sales strategies for sustainable growth. The ideal candidate will build strong relationships with merchants, identify new business opportunities, and support the company’s financial product adoption in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire new merchants through strategic outreach, networking, cold calling, and social media engagement.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to achieve sales targets and business growth objectives.
  • Cross-sell financial products and services to existing and new clients.
  • Conduct market research to identify selling opportunities and understand customer needs.
  • Maintain and strengthen current business relationships, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Deliver presentations on products and services, and provide feedback to internal teams.
  • Participate in market events, trade fairs, and community marketing activities.

Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates should have:

  • 4–5 years of strong sales experience, preferably within banking, fintech, or related industries.
  • Solid understanding of the local financial services industry.
  • Proven experience in onboarding and managing merchants in a banking or fintech environment.
  • Experience selling lending services and merchant POS devices to corporate clients (strong enterprise merchant network is an advantage).
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and achieve targets with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • A tertiary qualification from a recognized institution.
