A leading AI training company is seeking a Chemistry Data Annotation Specialist to support projects focused on advancing artificial intelligence in the scientific domain. This role involves evaluating AI-generated chemistry content, annotating data with precision, and providing expert feedback to improve large language models (LLMs). Responsibilities

  • Review and assess AI-generated chemistry responses for accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
  • Annotate and label chemistry datasets across multiple subfields, ensuring consistency and precision.
  • Provide written explanations to clarify why answers are correct or incorrect.
  • Collaborate with project managers asynchronously and follow established annotation guidelines.
  • Maintain high-quality output while balancing accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of advanced chemistry topics, including organic mechanisms, spectroscopy, kinetics, and thermodynamics.
  • Excellent ability to identify subtle errors in chemical formulas, reactions, and conceptual explanations.
  • Strong written communication skills to clearly explain complex scientific concepts.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage time effectively in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) in Chemistry or related discipline.
  • Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, or academic instruction.
  • Familiarity with data annotation, AI training, or scientific content review.
  • Cross-disciplinary expertise, such as biochemistry, computational chemistry, or materials science.

  • Candidates with only basic or high-school-level chemistry knowledge will not be considered.
