Job Overview

We are seeking a Chief Economist to lead economic research, drive strategic insights, and influence key policy and business decisions. This role requires an expert in economic analysis, forecasting, and policy development who can communicate complex economic concepts to diverse stakeholders. The ideal candidate will provide thought leadership, oversee economic modeling, and contribute to industry discussions on economic trends and policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth economic research and provide strategic insights to guide business and policy decisions.
• Develop and oversee economic models, forecasts, and data-driven analysis to assess market trends and risks.
• Represent the organization externally by engaging with policymakers, industry leaders, and the media.
• Lead a team of economists and analysts, mentoring junior staff and fostering a culture of excellence in research.

Job Requirements

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Economics or a related field.
• 10-15 years of experience in economic research, analysis, and forecasting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Proven leadership experience in managing teams and engaging with external stakeholders.
• Expertise in economic modeling, data analysis techniques, and forecasting methodologies.
• Knowledge of data science and machine learning is an advantage.
• Experience in finance, government, academia, or a related industry.
