Job Description

Ecobank Nigeria, a subsidiary of Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI), is seeking a qualified Information Security Officer to oversee information security, data protection, and business continuity management at the country level. The role ensures compliance with group security strategies while safeguarding systems, data, and IT resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of information security, data protection, and business continuity programs.
  • Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments, vulnerability testing, and ensure remediation strategies are in place.
  • Deliver security awareness training to staff and third parties, promoting adherence to policies.
  • Investigate security breaches, prepare reports, and recommend corrective measures to executive management.
  • Monitor internal control systems, review security logs, and maintain ISO27001 certification standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Information Security Officer, Chief Security Officer, or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, risk assessment, and incident management.
  • Familiarity with ISO27001 certification and information security management systems (ISMS).
  • Excellent analytical, investigative, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to enforce security policies.
