Job Description
AVATAR New Energy Materials Company is recruiting a skilled Chinese Translator to support communication and operations at its facility in Nasarawa. This role is ideal for a professional with strong bilingual proficiency in Chinese and English, capable of delivering accurate translations and facilitating smooth interaction between teams in a technical or industrial environment.

Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: N450,000 – N500,000 monthly
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate written and verbal translation between Chinese and English
- Interpret conversations during meetings, site activities, and daily interactions between Chinese and non-Chinese speaking staff
- Support communication between the security team and Chinese management
- Translate security reports, patrol logs, and emergency response documents
- Assist in coordinating security patrols and ensuring timely communication during emergencies
- Support the Head of Production in supervising daily factory operations
- Monitor production activities to ensure staff efficiency and compliance
- Translate technical documents, training materials, and meeting notes
- Act as a cultural liaison to foster effective collaboration between Chinese and Nigerian teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc) in a relevant field
- 2–3 years of experience in translation and interpretation
- Proven experience in a technical, industrial, or business environment is an advantage
- Strong command of both Chinese and English (written and spoken)
- Ability to interpret spoken Chinese accurately in real-time
- Knowledge of Hausa language is an added advantage
- Experience studying or working in China is a plus
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage tasks efficiently and work in a structured environment
