Job Description

An experienced Commercial Assurance Manager is required to support business operations, revenue assurance, supplier management, and billing processes within a large technology-driven organisation serving public sector clients. This role partners closely with finance, legal, sales, and delivery teams to ensure accurate invoicing, strong commercial governance, and process efficiency across commercial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with managing monthly billings and forecasts to maximise billing potential and revenue accuracy
  • Support the management of key third-party suppliers, ensuring back-to-back renewals and timely, accurate invoice payments
  • Collaborate with finance and internal stakeholders on revenue assurance and commercial compliance
  • Maintain and manage the billing backlog to ensure timely invoicing and validity of all billing items
  • Oversee revenue recognition processes for undefined professional services orders
  • Identify and remove barriers preventing timely invoicing of commercially sensitive customers
  • Detect and address missed billing opportunities arising from process gaps, errors, or oversights
  • Manage termination requests, including assessment, contractual information gathering, approval tracking, and SharePoint portal administration
  • Support license key distribution to customers
  • Provide clear commercial reporting and updates to senior management
  • Proactively identify process improvements and efficiency opportunities across commercial operations
  • Provide commercial and revenue-related guidance to internal stakeholders

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint
  • Good knowledge of Local Authority invoicing and purchase order approval processes
  • Ability to interpret, advise on, and manage different contract types and contractual frameworks
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across multiple business levels
  • Experience supporting revenue assurance and customer satisfaction objectives
  • Ability to adapt communication style based on audience and context
  • Working knowledge of SAP is an advantage
  • Strong business reporting and documentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working independently while contributing effectively within a team
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Professional representation in internal and external meetings
  • Full and valid UK/EC driving license
  • Right to work and travel within the United Kingdom
