An opportunity is open for a passionate professional to join as a Community Lead for the GATEWAY Program. This role involves building and sustaining vibrant communities that empower marginalized youth, women, and vulnerable groups with access to resources, learning, and work opportunities. The position requires leadership, strategic direction, and strong ecosystem engagement to ensure long-lasting community impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute the GATEWAY Program’s community engagement strategy across hubs, digital platforms, and physical spaces.
- Build inclusive communities that promote collaboration, peer-to-peer learning, and belonging.
- Strengthen pathways linking participants to training, gig platforms, mentorship, and financial services.
- Represent community needs at stakeholder forums and foster partnerships with local organizations.
- Mentor and manage Community Managers and Learning Community Coordinators to ensure consistency and quality delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Communications, Community Development, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 8–10 years of progressive experience in community leadership, youth mobilization, or large-scale engagement.
- Proven record of designing and implementing multi-state community strategies.
- Experience managing senior community staff, volunteers, or engagement officers.
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to design data-driven, inclusive, and scalable community models.
