Job Description
Canonical, the company behind Ubuntu and a global leader in open-source software, is hiring a remote Content Marketing Team Manager based in the EMEA region. This is a strategic leadership role focused on driving high-quality, performance-based content that supports brand and growth goals across multiple open-source products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the execution of Canonical’s content marketing strategy in alignment with business goals, SEO best practices, and brand positioning.
- Manage and oversee the content calendar, ensuring smooth production workflows and timely publication across platforms.
- Supervise and support a team of writers and content strategists, fostering growth and quality output.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, growth engineering, and brand to align messaging and optimize content impact.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators for content initiatives, using analytics tools to identify areas for improvement.
Role Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in content marketing or related roles, including 2+ years in a management or team lead position.
- Demonstrated ability to create compelling, authoritative content (portfolio required).
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and experience with content optimization tools and strategies.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with a focus on process efficiency and team development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Interest in technology and open-source solutions is strongly preferred.
