Job Description
A remote-first organization is seeking a Content Writer & Community Manager to manage day-to-day brand participation across relevant Reddit communities. This role focuses on creating high-quality, native Reddit content, engaging authentically in discussions, and strengthening brand visibility through community-driven interactions. The position requires cultural awareness, strong editorial judgment, and the ability to work independently in fast-moving online environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Write high-quality, value-driven Reddit posts and comments that feel native and authentic
- Monitor brand mentions across relevant subreddits and respond appropriately when required
- Actively participate in community discussions while respecting subreddit rules, tone, and culture
- Research subreddits, trending threads, and emerging conversations to identify engagement opportunities
- Track posts, comments, and engagement metrics using internal documentation or tracking tools
- Apply basic SEO principles to Reddit content when discoverability is a priority
- Analyze engagement performance and refine content strategies based on insights
- Share updates, insights, and challenges clearly with internal stakeholders
Requirements / Ideal Candidate Profile
- Excellent writing and editing skills with strong attention to tone and context
- Proven understanding of Reddit culture and online community dynamics
- Experience using content management systems or publishing tools
- Familiarity with social media and community management practices
- Working knowledge of SEO best practices and keyword usage
- Ability to analyze engagement data and draw actionable conclusions
- Strong communication skills, good judgment, and self-direction
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field is an advantage
