Job Description

A growing beauty and FMCG-focused organization is recruiting a Cosmetics Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end development of cosmetic products from concept to commercial launch. The role is ideal for a commercially driven professional with strong cosmetic science knowledge, project execution experience, and the ability to align product development with business growth objectives.

Salary: N350,000 Monthly

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead cosmetic product development including concept creation, formulation, testing, regulatory compliance, and market launch.
  • Conduct market research on consumer trends, ingredient innovation, and emerging opportunities within the beauty industry.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, deliverables, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Evaluate product feasibility, pricing strategies, profitability, and commercial scalability.
  • Collaborate with R&D, marketing, finance, ESG, and operations teams to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, regulatory agencies, and strategic partners.
  • Support go-to-market planning, product positioning, and revenue growth initiatives.
  • Present project updates, business cases, and strategic recommendations to management.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in cosmetic product development, formulation, or project management.
  • Strong understanding of cosmetic ingredients, formulations, manufacturing processes, and compliance regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage projects from ideation to successful market launch.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience in budgeting and profitability analysis.
  • Experience within FMCG, beauty, or manufacturing industries is an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking and execution capability.
