A reputable manufacturing company in Owo, Ondo is seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to join its Finance & Accounts team. This role is responsible for evaluating production costs and delivering financial insights that support strategic planning and cost control measures.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze manufacturing costs and identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements
- Prepare detailed reports on cost variances, production expenses, and profitability analysis
- Support budgeting processes and assist in financial forecasting
- Collaborate with operations and production teams to assess the financial impact of decisions
- Maintain accurate records of inventory valuation ad assist in month-end closing processes
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a cost accountant in a manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Proficiency in cost analysis and financial forecasting
- Excellent attention to detail and working knowledge of accounting software
