Job Description

A leading financial institution in Lagos is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Strategy & Programs Specialist to strengthen its information security framework. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic planning, policy development, and security program oversight to ensure the organization complies with relevant data protection and cybersecurity standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular security risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to manage emerging threats.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations such as NDPR, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and risk management programs.
  • Assess third-party vendors for cybersecurity compliance and manage associated risks.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and support internal/external audits.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s is an advantage).
  • Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, ISO 27001, ISO 31000, ITIL, or COBIT.
  • 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in information security, governance, and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks including CBN regulations, NIST, and NDPR.
  • Proven ability to develop actionable cybersecurity policies and strategic initiatives.
