Job Description

A reputable organization within the printing and manufacturing sector is seeking a skilled and results-driven Deputy Manager, Operations to oversee end-to-end production processes. The role involves managing daily operations, optimizing resources, and ensuring efficient workflow across all stages of printing while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities across pre-press, press, and post-press stages
  • Ensure optimal utilization of machinery, manpower, and materials to maximize efficiency
  • Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion and delivery of jobs
  • Identify process gaps and implement improvements to enhance operational performance
  • Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and quality standards
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and implement effective, timely solutions
  • Track production metrics and prepare detailed operational reports
  • Coordinate routine maintenance and servicing of printing equipment
  • Manage workforce planning, staff scheduling, and performance monitoring
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to align production with overall business objectives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Printing Technology, Production Management, or a related field
  • 7–10 years’ experience in printing operations or a manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end production processes (pre-press, press, post-press)
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in supervising teams and managing production staff
  • Strong technical knowledge of printing machinery, equipment maintenance, and workflow systems
  • Experience in production planning, scheduling, and performance monitoring
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Experience with ERP systems and production management tools is an added advantage
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Ability to manage resources efficiently and meet tight production deadlines
