Job Description
A reputable engineering firm is seeking a skilled Design Draftsman to support its engineering and project teams. This role is suited for a technically sound professional with experience in mechanical and piping drafting within oil & gas or industrial environments. The position involves translating engineering concepts into precise technical drawings and supporting project execution through high-quality CAD documentation.

Salary: N350,000 – N450,000 per month
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for mechanical, piping, and construction projects
- Develop and update P&IDs, piping layouts, piping isometrics, equipment layouts, and general arrangement drawings
- Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and calculations to produce accurate technical drawings
- Produce fabrication and shop drawings to support procurement and construction activities
- Update as-built drawings based on site revisions and redline markups
- Coordinate with mechanical, civil, electrical, and instrumentation teams to ensure design consistency
- Maintain drawing registers, revision histories, and proper document control
- Ensure all drawings meet project specifications, client requirements, and industry standards
Requirements & Qualifications
- HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Design Draftsman in oil & gas, EPC, or industrial construction projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design tools such as Plant 3D, PDMS/E3D, or similar software
- Strong experience with mechanical and piping drawings, including P&IDs, isometrics, and plant layouts
- Experience in 3D plant modeling and industrial facility layout development
- Familiarity with oil & gas standards, codes, and EPC documentation systems
- Basic knowledge of instrumentation and civil drawings is an added advantage
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines
- Good communication and teamwork skills
