Job Summary
The Driver will be responsible for the safe, punctual, and efficient transportation of personnel, goods, equipment, or documents between assigned destinations. This role demands strict compliance with traffic regulations, proper vehicle care, and excellent customer service. The Driver plays an essential role in ensuring smooth daily operations through dependable transport services.
Safe and Efficient Transportation
Drive company vehicles safely while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
Plan and evaluate routes using maps or GPS to ensure timely, cost-effective travel.
Transport passengers, personnel, or cargo to designated locations on schedule, adjusting routes when necessary.
Stay updated on traffic patterns, road conditions, and weather changes, and report any anticipated delays promptly.
Vehicle Maintenance and Safety
Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any issues immediately.
Keep the vehicle clean, well-maintained, and presentable at all times.
Coordinate routine servicing, repairs, and maintenance appointments.
Ensure all vehicle documentation—licenses, insurance, and registration—is complete and up-to-date.
Monitor fuel levels, refuel as required, and maintain accurate fuel usage logs.
Documentation and Compliance
Keep precise records of mileage, travel time, fuel purchases, and service activities.
Complete all required paperwork such as delivery notes, receipts, and confirmations.
Report accidents, incidents, traffic violations, or vehicle damages promptly to management.
Customer Service and Support
Interact courteously with passengers, clients, and staff, providing excellent customer service.
Assist with loading and unloading of packages, equipment, or luggage where applicable.
For passenger transport: Open doors and assist with entering or exiting the vehicle when necessary.
Requirements
Education: SSCE/High School diploma preferred.
License: Valid driver’s license suitable for the vehicle type (standard or CDL).
Experience: Prior professional driving experience is an advantage.
Driving Record: Must have a clean driving history with no major offenses.
Knowledge: Good understanding of local roads, routes, and traffic regulations.
Physical Fitness: Ability to sit for long periods and lift/carry items up to the specified weight if required.
Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays when needed.
Background Checks: Must be open to pre-employment screening.
