Job Description:
A startup company based in Lekki Phase 1 is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Entry Level Accountant to join its finance team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or candidates with minimal experience who are eager to build a solid career in accounting. The successful candidate will support daily financial operations and contribute to accurate record-keeping and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain general ledger accounts
- Process invoices, payments, and manage petty cash
- Support audits and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and GAAP
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities
Requirements:
- OND, HND, or BSc in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management
- 0 – 2 years of work experience in a relevant field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP is an advantage
- Strong analytical thinking, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
