Job Summary:
Horatio Limited is seeking a skilled Finance Manager to lead our financial operations. This role involves overseeing financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting, while ensuring accurate financial records and reconciliation across subsidiaries. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, and will collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records in line with accounting standards.
- Prepare and submit statutory financial statements and tax filings.
- Manage cheque payments to suppliers post-approval.
- Reconcile bank accounts using accounting software.
- Verify and record all bank charges.
- Process staff salaries and claims as approved.
- Prepare management financial reports for Board meetings.
- Enter sales invoices into the system for all cost centers.
- Schedule and manage monthly statutory dues payments.
- Ensure compliance with Local Purchase Orders (LPO).
- Oversee cash flow management and working capital.
- Conduct financial reconciliations with group entities.
- Collaborate with finance teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Manage intercompany transactions and cost allocations.
- Journalize all relevant expenses for cost centers.
- Liaise with external auditors for timely audits.
- Ensure compliance with laws and internal financial policies.
- Maintain effective internal controls.
- Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring necessary training.
- Compute and file monthly VAT returns.
- Provide financial insights to support leadership decision-making.
- Assist in evaluating new projects and investments.
- Undertake any other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or professional certification such as ICAN/ACCA preferred).
Minimum of 7 years of financial management experience, preferably in a multi-subsidiary structure.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and budgeting.
Experience in financial reconciliation and intercompany transactions.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Proficient in financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
