Job Description

This role is for an experienced Finance Manager to support financial operations, regulatory reporting, and process improvement within an asset management environment. The position requires strong technical expertise, accuracy, and the ability to manage financial controls and reporting structures efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
• Manage outsourced finance functions and ensure key deliverables are met.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring prompt payments, collections, and application of all eligible discounts.
• Ensure timely completion of periodic bank reconciliations and required debt payments.
• Maintain the chart of accounts, manage the general ledger, and enforce accuracy across all accounting transactions.
• Oversee VAT, WHT, PAYE, and liaise with tax consultants, auditors, and regulators for proper compliance.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts for internal use and regulatory submission.
• Issue complete financial statements within required timelines and coordinate the annual corporate report.
• Monitor financial performance and recommend benchmarks to measure operational efficiency.
• Support continuous improvement of finance-related processes and workflows.
• Provide regulatory reports to the compliance department and coordinate information required for external audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Minimum of 6 years finance experience.
• Professional certifications such as CFA, ACA, or ACCA are an added advantage.
• Experience in an asset management firm is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel.
