Job Description
A reputable media organization in Lagos is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Officer to join its team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling core financial operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting accurate reporting and analysis. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, record, and reconcile invoices, payments, and revenue transactions using ERP systems.
- Manage accounts receivables and payables, including supplier payments and client reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate tax reconciliation, filing, and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Support monthly financial closing, reporting, and sales analysis to meet business targets.
- Compute commissions, variable salaries, and bonuses for sales teams and executives.
- Propose and implement improved processes to strengthen efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting.
- 2–3 years’ proven experience in accounting operations within a structured organization.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and strong financial reporting skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- ICAN, ACCA, or progress towards professional certification is an added advantage.
