Financial Analyst (Finance, Operations & Reconciliation) at Carbon Nigeria
Job Description
Carbon Nigeria is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support finance and operational accounting functions. This role focuses on daily financial operations, accurate record-keeping, and reconciliation of key accounts to support reliable month-end and management reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Record financial transactions in the general ledger in line with applicable accounting standards
- Prepare and post journal entries, including prepayments, accruals, and adjustments
- Process vendor invoices, payments, staff claims, and other operational finance activities
- Maintain accurate records of payables, receivables, and expense transactions
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and investigate variances
- Reconcile supplier statements, customer accounts, and intercompany balances
- Support the preparation of financial reports and schedules for month-end close
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting roles
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with accounting or ERP systems is an advantage
- Background in the financial services industry is an added advantage
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
