Job Description

Domeo Resources International (DRI) is seeking a highly experienced Financial Controller to lead and oversee the organization’s financial operations. This role is responsible for ensuring strong financial governance, accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective financial planning. The ideal candidate will provide strategic financial insights to support business growth while maintaining robust internal controls and financial discipline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and management of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections, including variance analysis and recommendations
  • Oversee accounting operations, general ledger management, and month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Prepare and review accurate financial statements in line with IFRS, GAAP, and applicable local regulations
  • Develop, implement, and monitor internal control systems to safeguard assets and ensure compliance
  • Manage cash flow, liquidity planning, banking relationships, and treasury operations
  • Ensure timely filing and compliance with all statutory and tax obligations including VAT, PAYE, WHT, and CIT
  • Provide financial analysis, business insights, and strategic recommendations to support management decision-making
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise finance and accounting team members to ensure high-quality financial output

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
  • Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or CPA is mandatory
  • Minimum of 7–10 years’ progressive experience in accounting or financial management
  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS, audit processes, budgeting, and financial reporting
  • Proven experience with internal control systems and regulatory compliance
  • Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
