Job Description

Petrogap Oil and Gas Limited is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead treasury, taxation, and financial accounting operations. This role is suited to a detail-oriented finance professional with strong regulatory knowledge, solid leadership capability, and hands-on experience in financial planning and reporting within a structured organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee treasury operations, cash flow management, and financial assets
• Manage financial accounting processes in line with IFRS and statutory requirements
• Ensure full compliance with taxation, regulatory, and commercial law obligations
• Prepare and review financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and management accounts
• Drive financial planning, analysis, and performance monitoring
• Support strategic decision-making through accurate financial insights
• Lead and supervise finance team members, ensuring efficiency and accountability

Requirements & Skills

• Strong knowledge of capital markets, accounting, and business finance
• Proven expertise in Financial Reporting, Treasury management, and IFRS
• Solid understanding of taxation and commercial law
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and leadership skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a management or supervisory role

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (First Class or Second Class Upper) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• ICAN, ACCA, or ACA certification is required
• 4–6 years of experience in Accounting, Financial Reporting, or Finance Management
• Prior experience in the Oil & Gas industry is an added advantage
• Age range: 26–35 years
• Gender: Female (for gender balance)
