Job Description
Petrogap Oil and Gas Limited is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead treasury, taxation, and financial accounting operations. This role is suited to a detail-oriented finance professional with strong regulatory knowledge, solid leadership capability, and hands-on experience in financial planning and reporting within a structured organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee treasury operations, cash flow management, and financial assets
- Manage financial accounting processes in line with IFRS and statutory requirements
- Ensure full compliance with taxation, regulatory, and commercial law obligations
- Prepare and review financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and management accounts
- Drive financial planning, analysis, and performance monitoring
- Support strategic decision-making through accurate financial insights
- Lead and supervise finance team members, ensuring efficiency and accountability
Requirements & Skills
- Strong knowledge of capital markets, accounting, and business finance
- Proven expertise in Financial Reporting, Treasury management, and IFRS
- Solid understanding of taxation and commercial law
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and leadership skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a management or supervisory role
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (First Class or Second Class Upper) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- ICAN, ACCA, or ACA certification is required
- 4–6 years of experience in Accounting, Financial Reporting, or Finance Management
- Prior experience in the Oil & Gas industry is an added advantage
- Age range: 26–35 years
