FTTH Product Back Office Engineer
Job Description
A leading telecommunications company in Lagos is seeking a skilled FTTH Product Back Office Engineer to support network operations, ensure efficient system performance, and provide technical expertise in fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) and transmission systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with OLT product software debugging and IP network management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of FTTH and IPRAN/IP-related network products.
- Perform back-office O&M functions, including software debugging and network troubleshooting.
- Manage and optimize OLT product software for improved network reliability.
- Support the engineering team with technical analysis and fault resolution in FTTH networks.
- Prepare performance reports and documentation for system updates and maintenance activities.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of back-office O&M experience in transmission products.
- At least 1 year of experience as an Engineering Manager or in a similar supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of FTTH products and hands-on experience in OLT software debugging.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer operations.
- Familiarity with basic IP routing protocols.
