Job Description
An EdTech company is seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer to support the development of scalable, high-impact educational products. This role is suited to an experienced engineer with strong frontend and backend expertise and a clear interest in progressing into an Engineering Leadership position. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, contribution to architectural decisions, and mentoring junior developers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using modern frameworks
- Build responsive and high-performance user interfaces using React.js and Vue.js
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Django and Laravel
- Design, optimize, and manage databases using PostgreSQL and MongoDB
- Ensure application security, performance, and scalability through best engineering practices
- Integrate third-party services, APIs, and external tools as required
- Write clean, testable, and well-documented code
- Participate in technical planning, architecture discussions, and code reviews
- Mentor and support junior developers while contributing to engineering best practices
Preferred Additional Responsibilities
- Support CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and cloud infrastructure
- Contribute to containerization, monitoring, and system reliability initiatives
- Leverage AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude to improve productivity and code quality
- Explore AI-assisted features or integrations relevant to EdTech solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of software development experience
- At least 3 years of frontend experience using React.js and Vue.js
- At least 4 years of backend experience using Django and Laravel
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB
- DevOps experience is an added advantage
- Experience using AI development frameworks such as GitHub Copilot or Claude
- Strong problem-solving skills and leadership potential
